This intense-looking lift is a stiff-legged variation of a clean and snatch. The clean and snatch is a power lift that builds body strength and density, particularly in the shoulder girdle region. The clean and snatch is one of the most explosive movements in fitness. When done properly, you should be lifting the weight from the floor over your head in a swift, single motion. Clearly this is a move that takes practice, and when being practiced should be done with fairly light weight. But when this lift is done correctly, you will be able to lift more than you think. Our trainer also precedes the clean and snatch with some jump rope. This will warm up the lower leg joints you need for this lift while jacking your heart rate up and making you break a sweat.
