Born and raised in Brooklyn, photographer Tarik Carroll’s creative aesthetic is one part pop art influence and one part graphic design, which results in bold and energetic visually striking creations.
Known to play with color schemes, Tarik dropped the primary colors for this exclusive model photo shoot. While his work with color is always loud and vibrant, Tarik is also a master when it comes to the classic black and white photo. You can see his “noir-like” choice profoundly showcases both the underwear and the model.
The first photos of model Josh Hawkins with the dramatic sharp lapels of his top and jacket, and the light in the background, creates a rather timeless look. We also get a peek of Josh’s Gabriel Grey jockstrap through his sheer top in the second photo. Brandon Bell pairs his Joe Boxer briefs and Intyman thong with a very sleek blazer, proving once again that the little black brief is a proper choice as the basis for any outfit.
Looking at Veronie Poteat’s spread, we are automatically taken back to the Jazz era. Wearing white Joe Boxers and a white Rufskin bodysuit, Veronie channels a bluesy and boozy soul from the ’40s. The last model, Trevor Shapiro switches things up in an outfit made for going out with a slim vest and a daring pair of Good Devil jockstrap.
