In addition to being smart, funny and as addictively catchy as the original, the latest Blurred Lines video parody is chock full of men in their undies. Needless to say, we’re on board. Heck, we’ll even steer the ship.
Musician and satirist Melinda Hughes retools Robin Thicke’s controversial (and insanely popular) video, with three ladies on vocals and underwear clad models strewn about, carousing with various props. Hughes’ video stays pretty true to Thicke’s original (aside from the cheeky lyrics, of course), complete with random barnyard animals and one very oversized bicycle. Oh, did we also mention the enormous inflatable dildo? It really is the perfect touch.
Aside from its unsubtly suggestive lyrics, which many critics have called ‘rape-y’ or misogynistic at the very least, the video for Blurred Lines just screams out to be parodied. Really though, what’s up the goat? Not to mention the plastic outfits, sausage links, and feet-on-face action. It was only a matter of time before the parodies started rolling out.
But back to the underwear. What do you think of these tighty whities? Does their frumpiness add to the funny, or would you rather have seen these dudes in more sexed-up styles? Watch the full Blurred Lines parody video and let us know in the comments if you think this vid is hot or not!
