Defining art is an insolvable quest that has plagued the world for centuries, but has also produced a vast array of answers. Oscar Wilde declared that, “life imitates art far more than art imitates life.” Degas once said, “art is not what you see, but what you make others see,” while Nietzsche bleakly stated, “we have art in order not to die of the truth.” The quotes can go on for centuries, literally. However, Canadian-based brand Garçon Model may be the first to give the world something that screams, “underwear art.”
In a series of classic works of art, Garçon Model helped out all the various artists who somehow forgot to give their men the most important accessory, a pair of underwear. The famous works include Marcantonio Pasqualini’s ‘Crowned by Apollo,’ ‘Ganymede Waters Zeus as an Eagle’ by Bertel Thorvaldsen and ‘Master of the Human Form’ by Rodin.
