In celebration of upcoming Gay Pride events around the world this summer, Papi introduces its Pride collection, which features a rainbow-colored waistband and a variety of bright color options. Available late April, the Papi Pride range consists of a Euro brief ($24) and jockstrap ($18) and the body comes in red, yellow, orange, blue and green colors as well as black.
After supporting the gay community through several causes over the years, Papi developed a unique collection that celebrates the individuality of some of its customers. The brand has partnered with numerous fundraisers throughout the country sponsoring Gay Pride events.
Papi has also been involved in AIDS research, and most recently teamed up with the MTV Staying Alive Foundation. Staying Alive is the world’s largest multimedia global HIV and AIDS prevention campaign that challenges stigma and discrimination associated with HIV and AIDS as well as empowers young people to protect themselves from infection.
Though the Papi Pride collection will not hit stores until the end of the month, the brand has already received positive feedback from consumers via Facebook. “The Papi customer is eager to get this product in their hands and we have no doubt that they are going to love the colorful and sexy silhouettes,” said a representative for Papi. “We are excited to have developed a product that helps people express their pride for the person who they are. We look at life without judgment, and as a brand it is important for us to be leaders in expression and human rights.”
The Pride range is made from a smooth microfiber blend of 88% polyester and 12% spandex. This fabric blend offers moisture wicking and quick dry properties. And in addition to offering a breathable feel, the Euro brief features mesh side panels that offer a revealing glimpse of skin.
The Papi Pride collection is available in S-XL.
