If you’re an underwear fan, then you’ve probably seen the new David Beckham Bodywear for H&M ad. It was directed by Guy Ritchie, features a solid minute and a half of Becks in his undies and shows off the new H&M line splendidly. As always, Beckham looks impressive in a pair of boxer briefs. TV Guide has reported, however, that not all of the shots of Beckham were of the actual soccer star. H&M apparently hired a David Beckham butt double.
Before everyone freaked out over replacing Beckham’s finely toned posterior with some other guy’s butt, the brand admitted that while the star did most of his own stunts, a body double was used for “smaller parts of the video” (presumably not a euphemism) due to David’s “tight schedule.”
Whatever smaller parts the David Beckham butt double helped out with, we’re glad to know that our favorite soccer player was mostly unaltered for the campaign. After all, if a professional athlete can’t be himself in an ad, who can? If you haven’t seen the video yet, you can watch it here. Can you spot the double? Watch for inconsistent tattoos.
