10 Eccentric Fashion Jockstraps

by Michael Kleinmann

Though it’s been around since 1874, the jockstrap has spent most of its life as a functional garment, a contraption of fabric and elastic designed to provide extra support for your package during sports and other vigorous physical activities. Fast-forward a hundred and some years later, and you’ll see a lot has changed since Bike’s original Jockey Strap in 1874. Though they’re still as functional as ever, today’s jockstraps come in a huge variety of colors, fabrics and unique designs (some of which will have you scratching your head), having gone from purely functional to super-fashionable, super-different and off the grid, and everything in between, sort of like women’s bras and Apple computers!

Nowadays, the jockstrap is the underwear go-to for guys who either prefer a style with sporty support or something revealing that nicely shows off their buns. We’ve compiled 10 of the most eccentric fashion jockstraps that combine the athletic spirit of their sporty origins with some of today’s most stylish, and in some cases, eccentric style standards. Check them out below!
