The new Rich Menswear campaign entails a brutal battle between models in a boxing ring. The models wear various selections from the Rich Menswear lines and either duke it out with fists or wrestle each other to the ground. The brand, based in Brazil, hired photographer Marcio del Nero to use his skill for the series. Basing the gallery off of August Sander’s work, Marcio del Nero’s campaign is filled with dark, grainy colors and intense, kinetic power. Sander, for those who aren’t as keen on photography history, was a German portrait photographer who was considered to be one of the most influential men behind a camera in the twentieth century.
Marcio del Nero’s Rich Menswear campaign features Daniel Macedo and Tauá Biral who show off the impressive physical presence one would expect from such a match. Marcio del Nero was also aided by fashion stylist Thidy Alvis and grooming stylist Johnny Lazz. The raw fury of the images shows the Rich Menswear line as a rugged alternative to beach-friendly relaxation promised by so many Brazilian brands. The brand has produced a compelling campaign that noticeably stands out from the advertising of many other brands.
