With the release of its sexy new photo shoot, Nasty Pig is encouraging consumers to wear the New York City-based brand’s first long johns as outerwear.
Released last month, the long johns offer a style and function that make them an everyday essential. Priced at $39, the long johns are available in S-XL and offer the same classic quality elastic and super-comfortable cotton spandex rib fabric as the brand’s classic briefs and trunks. But can the pair be worn outdoors?
“All the downtown Manhattan hotties we know are working the long johns as outerwear,” Dave Hughes, vice president of marketing for Nasty Pig, told The Underwear Expert. “It’s a perfect transitional look for cool kids as the fall days get crisp. And don’t forget to pair them with a top that has pockets.”
The fall release of the Nasty Pig long johns has been popular among the brand’s consumers. “As we expected, our long johns have been a major sales hit,” said Hughes. “At first, we were having difficulty keeping certain size and color combinations in stock at our retail headquarters (in New York City) from day to day, though we’ve solved that problem by keeping a ton of them on hand. Still, guys should get them while they’re hot.”
Unlike traditional thermal long johns, the Nasty Pig long johns are made from 95% cotton and 5% spandex. This sturdy, ribbed fabric offers a smooth and comfortable feel on the legs; the pair also boasts a sexy contour pouch.
The Nasty Pig long johns are being offered in three stylish colors: red, black and white. The pair is finished at the ankle with a double layer of fabric while the fly is finished with a set of custom branded Nasty Pig rivets.
