A lot of photographers use flashy colors, brilliant effects, elaborate sets, and a large cast to show off their skill. Arnaldo Anaya Lucca doesn’t need all that fluff here. He takes the crushingly handsome Emilio Flores and puts him in black briefs against a black background. The lighting is classic and technical. The poses are simple and refuse to distract from the look of the model.
Emilio Flores, who would probably come in third in a Tom Cruise look-alike contest, has strong enough features that he can handle being the subject of the viewer’s attention. To stand alone against a black background and still look dominating, is a tough job and not every model can pull it off. Flores clearly can. With a lean, yet toned body and a dark, angular face, Flores gives a commanding performance as the subject of Arnaldo Anaya Lucca’s shoot.
