Drifting Away by Troy Wise

When we last checked in with Troy Wise, we got to take a dip with a couple all-American looking models in Young Americans. Now we’ve received another set of images from the photographer–a series called “Drifting Away.” Troy Wise once again collaborates with the model Jonathan Ackley. Here Ackley poses yearnfully on a beach as the evening tide slowly sweeps over him. The clouds and the sky are fading into the same milky blue hue of the water, a nearly monochrome canvas for Ackley’s brighter blue swim brief.

“Drifting Away” by Troy Wise is similar in tone and content to Part Two of Wish You Were Here. Again, Ackley wears AussieBum swimwear as he shows off his quietly attractive face and remarkable phoenix tattoo. Rick Guzman was the stylist for the placid shoot and Dominic Alonzo styled the model’s hair.
