Frank Dandy Makes Swedish Creation

Scandinavian underwear brand Frank Dandy releases its Knuckles in Black trunk ($29), which showcases a fist of a good print. Currently available, the trunk was designed by Swedish TV personality and designer Musse Hasselvall.

The Knuckles in Black trunk is made from 95% combed cotton and 5% elastane and features a double-layered pouch for increased support. The trunk’s flatlock stitching offers increased durability.

Hasselvall, who serves as creative director of Frank Dandy, oversees the brand’s continued brand and design work. Describing the inspiration of his unique prints, Hasselvall explained that his aesthetic is in-line with the design principles of Frank Dandy. “Isn’t that what Frank Dandy has always been doing?” Hasselvall, told The Underwear Expert. “We actually don’t even call it a collection at Frank Dandy. It sounds too pretentious. We make prints that we like. Usually there is no theme.”

Earlier this year, Hasselvall, a mixed-martial artist in his native Sweden, was voted as Sweden’s best-dressed man by fashion magazine ELLE. He told the magazine his inspiration comes from people who dare to stand out and he explained that he is dedicated to always challenging the expected.

The trunk is available in S-XL.
